About the Gallery The Meeting House Gallery mounted its first exhibit in the Fall of 2011 and has now become an important venue for art in the Baltimore-Washington area. Exhibits, which are mounted several times a year, feature artwork in a range of media, style and content.
The Gallery's mission is two-fold: 1) to provide a venue for local artists and craftspeople to exhibit and sell their work and 2) to beautify the public areas of The Meeting House. Representatives from OMIC's congregations serve on the all-volunteer Art Committee, which selects the artists and exhibition themes. Two glass display cases are available for 3-D work, such as ceramics, sculpture, and carvings. Walls accommodate 2-dimensional works and low-relief sculpture that can be hung.
A small commission from the sale of displayed artwork supports ongoing improvements to the Gallery space. Unless otherwise stated on the label accompanying the piece, the artwork on display in The Meeting House Gallery is available for purchase. Contact the artist directly to purchase his or her work. For all other inquiries, contact the Art Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We encourage submissions by artists in the Mid-Atlantic region. Visit Info for Artists for submission instructions and a downloadable Artist Submission Form. E-mail us to get on our mailing list and receive notifications of upcoming shows and openings.
Gallery hours are daily from 9 am to 9 pm; closed on Federal holidays. Please note that religious services are held Friday night through Sunday.
